Glavin ID prints and manufactures many different kinds of overlays and control panels for many different industries including medical, aerospace, and industrial equipment . Along with our extensive printing capabilities we have in-house manufacturing that gives us the ability to cut, stamp, stud, and finish the control panel or back panel your graphic overlays will be applied to. This helps our customer save time and money in their purchasing and manufacturing processes. Our blanket order and stocking packages give our customers the flexibility to receive price breaks for manufacturing in large quantities while also receiving just-in-time delivery on smaller quantity releases.
Most commonly screen printed on a .005-.020 clear polycarbonate or polyester base material, graphic overlays are sub-surface printed to provide extreme durability. Our production team can create overlays with clear or tinted windows, selective texturing, transparent or opaque inks, and graphics capable of being reverse lit. We also emboss overlays to create raised buttons or make your product stand out. Our finishing services include adding adhesive, die cutting, and specialty packaging to meet our customer’s specifications.
Overlay & Back Panel Assemblies
Most graphic overlays get applied to a back panel. At Glavin, we have in-house capabilities to manufacture the back panel and apply the overlay to provide our customers with a turnkey, finished product. Back panels can be punched or laser cut out of aluminum, routed or machined from plastic and everything in between. A lot of back panels get studs and stand offs inserted prior to the overlay being applied. We have partners all over the country to help us provide our customers with any specialty manufacturing applications required.
Control panels are used in the place of an overlay/back panel assembly. Instead of having the back panel and graphics made separately, the graphics are printed, engraved or etched directly on the panel. Control panels can also be made out of Metal Photo where the image is directly exposed into the aluminum and the graphics sealed under an anodic layer. Our broad capabilities help us provide our customer with control panels that fit their application and budget.
